Chart Not Showing on My Store
Charts assigned but invisible? Work through this checklist top to bottom — the first cause covers most cases.
1. The app block isn’t on your theme (most common)
Section titled “1. The app block isn’t on your theme (most common)”The Size chart app block must be added once per theme in the theme editor. Until it is, no chart appears anywhere.
The app watches for this: if its block is missing from your published theme, the app shows a banner on Home — “Size charts aren’t on your store yet” — with an Open theme editor button linking you to the right place. Canvas-based themes show a different banner — see below.
Fix: follow Add the block to your theme.
2. You published a new theme
Section titled “2. You published a new theme”App blocks are installed per theme. Publishing a new theme (or duplicating and switching) leaves the block behind on the old one.
- The app detects a theme switch (it watches theme publishes) and warns you on Home, with a deep link into the new theme’s editor.
- Fix: add the block to the newly published theme — same steps as the first install.
3. Your theme is built on Canvas
Section titled “3. Your theme is built on Canvas”Themes on Canvas don’t support app blocks, so the widget can’t be installed on them. The app’s Home banner states this explicitly (“This theme can’t display size charts”). Options:
- Use a non-Canvas theme for product pages, or
- Ask us — we keep a list of themes with known issues and workarounds.
4. The product doesn’t match any rule
Section titled “4. The product doesn’t match any rule”Check on the Assignment page:
- Does a rule target this product’s collection/tag/vendor/type? Use Preview matches on the rule to see if the product appears.
- Is a higher-priority rule matching the same product and assigning a different chart? The top matching rule wins.
- For complex rules, did the background job finish? Watch the progress indicator; it retries automatically on failure.
- No rules at all? The chart stays a Draft — invisible until assigned and published.
5. The chart is still syncing
Section titled “5. The chart is still syncing”New or edited charts pass through a Syncing state while being applied to your storefront. The Charts list shows each chart’s status — wait for Live. Charts already on products stay visible while updates sync.
6. The product was just added or edited
Section titled “6. The product was just added or edited”When a product or collection changes in Shopify, the app re-checks assignments in the background — this can take a moment. If it’s been longer, edit the rule and re-publish to force a re-run.
Still not showing?
Section titled “Still not showing?”- Confirm the product truly matches: rule → Preview matches → product listed with “Chart after” set.
- Confirm chart status is Live on the Charts page.
- Confirm the block is on the published theme (not a draft) — the banner on Home tracks the published theme only.
- Contact us from the app’s Contact us page with your store URL and the product handle — we’ll check the projection state.
