Get Started with Back-in-Stock
Back-in-Stock (the “Notify Me” feature) lets shoppers request an email alert when an out-of-stock product becomes available again. When you restock the product, Qivra automatically emails every subscriber so you can recover sales you would otherwise lose.
This guide explains how the feature works, what you can configure, and where to go next.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”- A shopper lands on a product page that is out of stock.
- The Notify Me button replaces (or sits next to) the disabled Add to Cart button.
- The shopper clicks the button, enters their email in the popup, and confirms.
- Qivra stores the subscription and shows a confirmation toast on the page.
- When inventory for that variant is updated above zero, Qivra sends a restock email to every pending subscriber.
- The shopper clicks Add to Cart or View Product in the email to complete their purchase.
Notifications are processed automatically by Qivra’s scheduler - there is no manual “send” button to remember.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- The Qivra app embed must be enabled in your theme. See Enable App Embed.
- The feature is available on the Premium plan. If the feature is gated, you will see an upgrade banner inside the Back-in-Stock page.
- The product must be tracked by Shopify inventory. Products that ignore inventory cannot trigger restock alerts.
Where to Find It
Section titled “Where to Find It”In the Qivra PreOrder admin, open the Back-in-Stock page from the left navigation. The page is organized into three tabs:

What You Can Customize
Section titled “What You Can Customize”- Button visibility per product - Always show, only when out of stock, or never show. See Manage Products & Button Visibility.
- Button text on each page type - Product page, collection page, and home page can each have their own label. See Customize the Notify Me Button.
- Popup content - Title, description, email placeholder, and subscribe button text.
- Confirmation toast - The success message, the “already subscribed” message, and the toast colors.
- Restock email - Sender name, subject, body, product card layout, logo, and CTA buttons. Includes a live preview and a test-email tool. See Customize the Restock Email.
