Set Up Custom Email (SMTP)
Configure a custom SMTP server to send transactional emails such as back-in-stock notifications.
Accessing Email Settings
Section titled “Accessing Email Settings”- Open Qivra PreOrder from your Shopify admin
- Go to Settings
- Switch to the Email (SMTP) tab
Configuring SMTP
Section titled “Configuring SMTP”Step 1: Select Email Provider
Section titled “Step 1: Select Email Provider”Choose from the available email providers or select Custom SMTP.
Step 2: Enter SMTP Details
Section titled “Step 2: Enter SMTP Details”| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| SMTP Host | Your email server hostname (e.g., smtp.gmail.com) |
| SMTP Port | Port number (usually 465 for SSL or 587 for TLS) |
| Username | Your email account username |
| Password | Your email account password or app password |
| From Email | Sender email address |
| From Name | Sender display name |
| Encryption | SSL or TLS |
Step 3: Save
Section titled “Step 3: Save”Click Save to store the configuration.
Common SMTP Providers
Section titled “Common SMTP Providers”- Host:
smtp.gmail.com - Port: 587 (TLS)
- Use an App Password (not your regular password)
SendGrid
Section titled “SendGrid”- Host:
smtp.sendgrid.net - Port: 587
- Username:
apikey - Password: Your SendGrid API key
Mailgun
Section titled “Mailgun”- Host:
smtp.mailgun.org - Port: 587
- Use your Mailgun SMTP credentials
