Shopify Flow Integration
Shopify Flow is Shopify’s free automation tool. Connect it to Qivra Form Builder and every submission can kick off a workflow — tag the customer, add them to a segment, send an internal alert, or connect to thousands of other apps.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”Qivra Form Builder provides two triggers in Shopify Flow. Both fire the moment a form is submitted:
| Trigger | Fires when | Includes customer |
|---|---|---|
| Qivra Form submitted (from customer) | A logged-in customer submits a form | Yes — the customer record, so Flow actions like Add customer tags work |
| Qivra Form submitted (from anonymous user) | A guest (not logged in) submits a form | No — only the form data |
Pick the matching trigger depending on who fills in your forms. You can use both in separate workflows if your forms get a mix of guests and logged-in customers.
Data sent to Flow
Section titled “Data sent to Flow”Each trigger passes the following fields into your workflow:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Form name | The name of the form that was submitted |
| Submit URL | The storefront page the form was submitted from |
| Submitted at | Timestamp of the submission (ISO 8601) |
| Customer | The customer who submitted — only in the “from customer” trigger |
Creating a workflow
Section titled “Creating a workflow”- From your Shopify admin, open Shopify Flow (under Apps).
- Click Create workflow (or start from a template).
- Click the trigger node, remove the default trigger, and search for “Qivra Form”.
- Choose Qivra Form submitted (from customer) or Qivra Form submitted (from anonymous user).
- Add conditions and actions — for example:
- Condition: Form name is “Contact us”
- Action: Add customer tags →
contacted
- Click Turn on.
The workflow now runs automatically on every matching submission.
Example workflows
Section titled “Example workflows”| Goal | Trigger | Actions |
|---|---|---|
| Tag customers who submit a form | from customer | Add customer tags (e.g. vip-request) |
| Alert your team about high-value requests | from customer | Send internal email / Send Slack message |
| Add submitters to a customer segment | from customer | Add customer tags → segment rule matches the tag |
| Log submissions in a spreadsheet | either | Send HTTP request to Google Sheets / Zapier |
| Follow up after feedback | from customer | Wait 3 days → Send marketing email |
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Trigger not found in Flow | The integration requires the Premium plan; if you’ve recently upgraded, try searching again or reloading Flow |
| Workflow doesn’t fire | Make sure the workflow is turned on and the trigger matches who submitted (customer vs. anonymous) |
| Customer action has no data | The submission came from a guest — use the “from customer” trigger or require login on the form |
| Want the raw submission fields | For full field-by-field data, use the Webhook / Zapier integration instead |
