Metafield Sync Status

This guide explains the Metafield sync panel on a price list — how Qivra B2B Wholesale pushes your pricing rules to the storefront and checkout, and what to do when a sync fails.

When you save a price list, the app compiles your rules into a compact format and writes them to a Shopify shop metafield. The storefront pricing engine and the checkout Shopify Function both read this metafield to apply your prices.

The Metafield sync panel shows the current state of that write and lets you retry or fully resync.

StatusMeaningAction needed
UpdatingSync in progressWait — no action needed
Up to dateLatest rules are live on the storefrontNone
Action neededLast sync failedClick Try again
IdleNothing to sync (no recent changes)None

When the panel shows Action needed:

  1. Click Try again.
  2. The app re-attempts the metafield write.
  3. The status returns to Updating, then Up to date on success.

If retries keep failing, see Troubleshooting: metafield size limit or contact support with the failed-variant details from the Advanced panel.

For a clean rebuild of all pricing data:

  1. Open Advanced in the sync panel.
  2. Click Refresh all prices.

This triggers a complete resync across all your price lists. Use it when:

  • Prices look stale or inconsistent across products.
  • You have recovered from an earlier sync failure.
  • Support asks you to send a fresh state.

Refresh all prices rewrites the entire shop pricing metafield. For large catalogs this can take a few minutes.

Inside the Advanced panel, the app lists specific variants that failed to sync last time. Include these when contacting support so the team can pinpoint the issue.

If you saved a price list but the storefront still shows old prices:

  1. Confirm the sync status is Up to date (not Action needed).
  2. Confirm the price list is Active and within its effective period.
  3. Try Refresh all prices.
  4. Still wrong? See Troubleshooting: B2B prices not showing.
