Print from Products, CSV, or Orders
Besides received transfers, labels can come from three other sources. On New print job, pick a card under Where do the labels come from? — each one shows its own picker below.
From product filter
Section titled “From product filter”Print labels for a selection of your catalog — e.g. re-labeling a category or new arrivals.
- Select the Product filter card.
- Type in Search products (product title or SKU) — results load as you type. For more precision, expand Advanced filters (vendor, type, tag).
- Optional controls:
- Only variants with barcode — tick to exclude variants without a barcode.
- Labels per variant — how many labels each selected variant gets (1–100).
- Review the variant table (product, SKU, barcode, price). Select specific variants, or leave the selection empty to print all matched variants.
- Click Create print job ({count} labels).
Variants without a barcode? Generate them on the spot
Section titled “Variants without a barcode? Generate them on the spot”If your template contains a barcode slot but some selected variants have no barcode in Shopify, the app offers to fix that before creating the job: “Generate barcodes for {count} variant(s)?”
- Confirm, and the app creates valid barcodes for those variants and saves them back to your Shopify products — then every label in the job prints a scannable barcode.
- Decline, and those variants still print — the barcode slot falls back to the SKU as text.
You’ll see the same option on the print job detail page when a job contains variants that would print without a barcode.
From CSV upload
Section titled “From CSV upload”Import a CSV with SKUs/barcodes and quantities — supplier order confirmations, Shopify purchase-order exports, or Stocky PO report exports.
Step 1: Prepare the file
Section titled “Step 1: Prepare the file”- Columns are auto-detected by header name — common aliases work (
sku, barcode, upc, ean, gtin, title, product, qty, quantity, received, …). Comma, semicolon, and tab separated files are all supported. - Don’t have a file yet? Click Download CSV template for the exact format (
sku, barcode, title, qty). - Limits: up to 10 MB and 10,000 rows per file.
Step 2: Upload and confirm the mapping
Section titled “Step 2: Upload and confirm the mapping”- Select the CSV import card and drop your file in the CSV file area.
- The app proposes a column mapping — confirm or adjust each column with the selectors: (ignore) / SKU / Barcode / Title / Quantity.
- Check the 10-row preview, then click Create print job from CSV.
For Stocky PO report exports, choose the Stocky PO report preset instead of Auto (fuzzy match) to apply the fixed Stocky column layout in one click.
How rows are matched
Section titled “How rows are matched”| Case | What happens |
|---|---|
| SKU matches a variant (or barcode matches) | Row is printed with the variant’s data |
| Quantity column empty | Defaults to 1 label |
| No variant matches | The row still prints its SKU/barcode text and is flagged as unmatched in the job |
| Same SKU appears several times | Quantities are summed into one item |
From an order
Section titled “From an order”Print a label for every unit in an order — useful when packing.
- Select the Order card.
- Find the order by number, customer, or product in the search, and click Select. Or paste an order ID directly (
gid://shopify/Order/...) in the Order ID (GID) field. - Click Create print job.
Each unit in each line item gets one label. Custom line items without a variant are skipped.
After creating the job
Section titled “After creating the job”All sources land on the same job detail page — review Labels in this job, set a start position if you’re continuing a partial sheet, then click Print {count} labels. See Print your first labels for the printing steps.
