FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Qivra Size Chart. For step-by-step guides, start with Getting started.

What is the difference between body and garment measurements?

Section titled “What is the difference between body and garment measurements?”

Body measurements are taken on the person, measured with a tape. Garment measurements are taken on the item itself, laid flat. Choose the one that matches how you measured — it changes what the recommender suggests. If you pick the wrong one, recommendations can be off by a full size step.

Yes. A chart can carry Alpha (XS–XL) plus US, UK, EU, JP (and more) labels at once — one label per size row. Shoppers switch systems inside the chart with no page reload, and you can set which systems appear using the presets in the chart editor.

Yes — units belong to each column, not to the whole chart. One table can have a Bust column in cm and a Weight column in kg. Columns can also be set to No units for text values that never convert.

Rows missing a value are hidden on the storefront. The editor counts empty cells so you can fill them before saving — and after saving, any cell that couldn’t be read as a measurable range is excluded from size recommendations (you’ll see a warning toast with the count).

Shoppers enter either height and weight (the numbers most people know) or their own measurements. The app scores every size row in your chart against those numbers and shows the closest size with a short reason — for example, “bust 88 falls in M (86–91)”. It runs on the chart data you already entered; no extra setup.

No — the size recommender is included on every plan, including Free.

For garment charts, each measurement is eased down by a default amount per column (bust/chest −10, waist −6, hip −8 cm) and the upper bound is stretched by 10% before scoring — approximating how fabric gives. Body charts are matched as-is with no adjustments.

What happens when several charts match the same product?

Section titled “What happens when several charts match the same product?”

The rule with the highest priority (highest in your list) wins. Simple rules (a single is condition on collection, tag, vendor, or product type) are resolved instantly from the storefront with no product writes.

A product has the wrong chart. How do I pin the right one?

Section titled “A product has the wrong chart. How do I pin the right one?”

Pinning a specific chart to a product always beats every rule. (See Assign charts to products.)

Yes — Export all downloads every chart, template, and rule as JSON on any plan, including Free. Your data is never locked in.

How do I import charts from another app or a supplier file?

Section titled “How do I import charts from another app or a supplier file?”

The Import page accepts pasted tables (CSV/TSV/HTML), CSV and JSON files, a supplier’s web URL, and can scan your existing product descriptions for tables. See Import a size chart.

Chart names, section titles, column labels, size labels, and the how-to-measure guide — the content shoppers read. Translations follow the languages enabled in Shopify Markets, not the shopper’s browser language.

Yes — the Translate with AI button fills empty fields only; it never overwrites an existing translation you’ve made.
