Translate Your Forms

If your store sells in more than one language, your forms should too. The Translations page translates every piece of text a customer sees — fields, choices, messages, and even the confirmation email — so each visitor reads the form in their own language.

Options & messagesChoice options (dropdown/radio/checkbox), the submit button, and the success message

Translations exist per shop language. If your shop only has one language, the page tells you so — add more in Shopify Settings → Languages (there’s a direct link on the page), then come back and click Refresh languages.

  1. In the app, go to Translations.
  2. Pick the form to translate from the form picker.
  3. Choose the language to translate — source text (your shop’s primary language) is shown on the left, your translation goes on the right.
  4. Translate the fields, options, messages, and email content. In the email editor, use Insert variable to keep placeholders like the customer’s name intact.
  5. Click Save.

Customers browsing in that language now see the translated form automatically — no theme changes needed.

The email section includes a preview with sample data that updates live as you translate. You can also send yourself a test email to check it in your inbox.

Instead of typing every string by hand, click Translate with AI for a language:

  • Translation runs in the background — leave the page and keep working.
  • Filled fields are marked with an AI badge. Review and adjust freely — your own edits are never overwritten.
  • Strings that couldn’t be translated automatically are listed so you can finish them by hand.

AI translation uses a monthly token allowance shown on the page; it resets on the 1st of each month.
