Dashboard Needs Shopify Plus or More Scopes
This guide fixes the two states that block the B2B Sales Dashboard from loading: scopes pending and Shopify Plus required.
Scopes pending
Section titled “Scopes pending”The dashboard reads order data through Shopify’s reporting APIs, which requires the read_reports scope. If the app was installed before this scope was requested, the dashboard shows a scopes pending state.
- From the dashboard state banner, follow the prompt to update access (or re-install / re-authorize the app).
- Approve the new access request in Shopify.
- Return to the app — the dashboard loads once the scope is granted.
Shopify Plus required
Section titled “Shopify Plus required”B2B company and order reporting is a Shopify Plus feature. On a non-Plus store, the dashboard shows a Shopify Plus required notice and cannot display KPIs.
- The dashboard is only available on Shopify Plus stores. Upgrade to Shopify Plus to unlock it.
- All other app features (price lists, registration forms, draft orders, storefront pricing) work without Shopify Plus.
Dashboard is empty
Section titled “Dashboard is empty”If the dashboard loads but shows empty, there is no B2B order data in the selected date range — not an error. Try widening the date range, or confirm you have B2B orders in that window.
A note on B2B order counting
Section titled “A note on B2B order counting”The dashboard identifies B2B orders using Shopify B2B channel signals and customer tags. During early rollout, totals may include all orders in range until the storefront B2B-cart-attribute wiring is fully complete. Use the trend and ranking rather than the absolute total as the source of truth during this period.
